does xtext use antl parser generator, or some other (integrated in xtext framework) that is based on antlr?

sorry if this has been asked before recently. has support for semantic predicates made it into xtext 1.0? this is a crucial feature for parsing ambiguous language such as c .
i have read the documentation of xtext to understand what is the scoping but i don't think that it is clear enough for me. is it to find where objets are referenced in memory?

i want to add behavior to the emf classes derived from the grammar. since the generator overrides the contents of the src-gen folder, is there a way to extend/add more behavior to the emf models?
