i have read the documentation of xtext to understand what is the scoping but i don't think that it is clear enough for me. is it to find where objets are referenced in memory?

i want to add behavior to the emf classes derived from the grammar. since the generator overrides the contents of the src-gen folder, is there a way to extend/add more behavior to the emf models?
